Product Description
The systems ensure equipment's longer life, personnel's safety and no maintenance is required, thus causes reduction in maintenance cost. The Pipe in Pipe Earthing Electrode by Sabo offers low resistance path in ground to fault as well as leakage currents, and makes sure the flow of the ground dissipation is smooth. The two major components of Sabo earthing electrode are primary earthing electrode (outer pipe) and secondary earthing electrode (inner pipe). The outer pipe in the inner pipe so that the hot dip galvanization process is carried out to a level of 80 - 100 microns. This process is essential to increase life of the earthing rods against any corrosion, especially when it is exposed to the soil. A highly conductive and non-corrosive compound is filled between the space between the primary earthing electrode and secondary earthing electrode. This is done to protect the earthing electrode from getting corrode over a long period of time in continuous contact with the soil. This compound also makes sure that that leakage/fault current when landed on the earthing electrode distributes easily and evenly. The earthing electrode ends are permanently sealed. There is also a lead terminal at the top with the two holes on the terminal to connect to the load/equipment. The back fill compounds are chosen for installation together with the earthing electrode based on the soil conditions. Reslow grounding minerals ideal selected for normal soil conditions, while Carbofill grounding minerals are apt for rocky/sandy soil conditions.
